why would we i mean halo 3 isnt out yet and theres so much more they havent revealed like the halo 3 campain mode if master cheif will die will cortona go wako or if the covenent succeed in there quest. even bungie said so thereselfs they said they barely revealed half the stuff in halo 3 that leaves whole other side of halo 3 unknown to everyone else i mean the game is gonna be released in september for christ sake thats 5 more mounths away and gives the right of peoples theorys and opionions on halo 3 i mean did u see papa roaches theory it was like 2 pages long and i think more people like that about this chat. look how many pages there are dont stop the fourom because its at the top of its game dont listen to him because if u do this forum will die

I have to agreee AND disagree there. You do have a point re-next gen, but I do believe Halo 3 will look the part. If not, Bungie simply lied with the first release of the "real time" video of H3.
I would say that there are a good number of games that simply couldnt be done on last gen consoles, but in agreement, I'd also say that current "next gen" games could see big improvements
If H3 gives me the wow factor that oblivion did, its a sure fire hit!
One thing I dont want to see, is playing as a damn covenant, which ruined H2 for me.
I dont think the ending of H2 was any worse than H1 to be honest (I mean, everyone died in H1 (supposably), yet Johnson turns up in H2. Almost like "Doctor Who" backtracking going on!!
H3 does need a strong story, NO FLOOD, next gen graphics, and o course that yummy fluid gameplay.
But we all know it will sell no matter what.

 

BTW Gus 738, PS3 can do what they like, they aint getting halo 3
besides...........Ive yet to see any PS3 game that screams "the 360 cant do this" and very much doubt I will, I also think its not too far down the line to see the end of the core system, and using the HDD for game storage/ loading as opposed to mere game saves - MS could supply the 20gb hdd cheap for anyone that doesnt have it.........

Anyway Im just here to tell you guys to chech out the new trailer for Halo 3 which was shown off during the microsoft press conference. So far its shaping up to be better than expected. The graphics look good too, but they pale in comparison to killzone 2, yes...killzone 2 was shown off again, and it turns out that the trailer that was shown off two years ago was the real thing, my jaw dropped after seeing the new one. There is also a new resident Evil 5 trailer.

anyway its time for me to vanish once more, you probably wont hear about me till september.

alright...I just saw another new trailer for Halo 3. This one though had live actors in it, at first I thought it might have been a preview for the Halo movie. Its somewhat of a commercial like trailer for the game........by the way is papaface and anubis still around? Ive been with this thread since the beginning, and I must say it sure has come a long way.

Yeah, I am still around T4spartan I just dont reply much here because the discussion is a little to repetitive for me to bother with.
I personally do not like the Halo 3 trailer at all. I think it looks like a rushed job and does not show off the graphics that are in the game to a suitable degree.
I have to admit the trailer has actually put me 'off' Halo 3 rather than me looking forward to it.

hmmm yea i agree with pappa face they could of flashed out the graphics some more but they said they really wanted single player to be secret thats probably why they didnt show much lol.but still im buyin the game

Been a long time since I last checked in on the forums. I see all the little covos exchanged about the BETA that I saddly missed out on....but watched some of the clips from Youtube, and I see that it looks like H2 but on steroids (for a Beta that is awsome)

Did anyone read about the unknown UNSC Battle Cruiser in the level Shrine. It's supposed to be the biggest ship in both fleets...wonder where the UNSC found the time and resources to build it if it turns out to be true.

The only thing I have to say about the trailer is " :O "
Left so many questions unanswered/ and started a few.

SO how does anyone think the alliance between the covie seperatists and UNSC forces will go?

Hey um can you please give me a link to that article you read please, and i beleive that the some of the elites will join the humans, some will stand alone to fight both the brutes, and humans, and some will remain loyal to the covenant.

As for the alliance systems with Elites I believe that there will be no Elites serving under the Brutes, I mean comeon they hated the fact that the Brutes basically cast them down in Covenant command. Now that the Brutes have killed the Hierarchs and are killing any Elites they come across (With the Prophet of Truths Blessing and command) I would doubt that such a proud sect of Elites would simply sit by and be led by Brutes.

There will be 2 types of Separatists:

Thoughs that will ally with the remainder of Humanity for a few reasons...like the fact that they have been lied to for years by the Prophets, and the great Journey was false...the fact of the danger the flood posses for both Human and Covenant...and the fact that the Elites had looked at the Humans as somewhat of a worthy race that should have been allowed into the Covenant, but the Prophets would'nt allow it.

The other type of Separatist will be the remaining Elites, Hunters, and Grunts possibly Jackals and Drones that are still Hell bent on destroying Humanity (because they are still brainwashed by what the Prophets have told them) but the will also battle against the true Covenant due to the civil war.

And as for the 9/25/07 launch date...I dont care if it comes out then or not to be honest. Neat if it does but if they push it back let them. Polish the game as much as possible for great game play...not too many bugs and weird glitches. I mean hey I can wait a few extra months if they do push it back....plus I need to buy a 360 anyway (mine didnt survive the flood...of water of course ) Lookin to buy the Halo 3 Xbox 360...we shall see

 

Wow thanks for those links i really got caught up on halo 3 for the unsc elephant on the sandtrap level would be amazing i mean just driving it with an almost unstoppable capability would give the player a feeling of power, but then again who doesn't love boarding an enemy ship, and destroying it within? or doing a little damage with a scorpion tank?

 

Wow look back at this thread and see how much its changed since back in december in 04. Talk about secret levels and grunts vs jackals in multiplayer.
