Ya, I just read about it on MaxConsole! That sounds pretty cool! Too bad it's only 2 player splitscreen! The four player co-op is for Xbox Live, and System Link!

 

Not saying anything bad about the 360, but, I doubt it could handle 4 player co-op on the same 360, that is probably why it has to be linked, or through Live.

 

Oh yeah by all means I am not bashing the 360 but there is no way it could handle four player split co-op.

Think about it, it would take a lot for the 360 to keep 4 players running away in different directions up to a mile away, plus handle the AI and Graphics, buddy locations ect. It just goes beyond the 360 but thats not bad (at least we know that H3 is pushing 360 to the limit ), at least we get to play a 4 player co-op at all

lol it would be great if the halo 3 doesnt work on the 360 when it comes out and something happens like a crash. With bungie's luck.. who knows?

I love the fact that it goes to 4 player coop, and im glad that they cut it down to 2 player split, cause if it were up to four, i would have allot of arguments over who gets to be player 1 to have the bigger screen if it were only 3 splitting, and one on live, also one thing that im slightly upset about is that there will also be arguments of who will be the master chief, or who will be the arbiter, i just prefer to be chief, cause he has been here since the beginning, and well cause he is the most feared thing to the covenant besides the flood.

 

So, I don't know if I understand correctly. Is 2 player split screen in co-op only, and then you can gave up to 4 in multi player? Or can you only have 2 players on one 360 period?

 

i see where you are coming from, but its only 2 player coop split, cause in 4 player multi you dont have all the ai, and the levels in multi arnt nearly as huge as the campagin ones, think of it as loading characters, and one map in multi, but loading characters by the hundreds, and have there own personality and if it where 4 player split coop each screen would have to load all this, overworking the system, and naybe even experiance some lag in the system

 

I figured that. I was just making sure multi player would still be 4 players.
