On the xbox 360 announcement they said that every game on the xbox 360 will be HD. But can be played fine on tv's not supporting HD.

What about area 3 and 4, will it be a littlebit better or a LOT better!
,i think they would just add few features for multiplayer and for xbox 360 live, now that is what they want to spend time on, and i mean heaps of time.

As much as I love the TSC level I wouldn’t like it to be attempted again on Halo 3. It would either make the original look better because the Halo 3 version would be crap, or it would make the TSC level on Halo 1 look bad because the Halo 3 version would be better. I'd prefer bungie to go for something new; something original. I'm sick and tired of games that appear to be copied and pasted with minor details changed. Halo 2 was pretty much completely different from Halo 1. This was however a bad thing in my opinion. They changed too much. Including the arbiter as a PC was a totally wrong move in my opinion, as the player is torn between two characters and beliefs in the game and therefore doesn’t really have any sense of direction when playing the game. Id like to see Halo 3 to resemble Halo 1 as a "standard", taking into account the actual game play rather than just graphics. I would also like to see some new and original ideas (like Halo 3, but not to the detriment of the game play like in Halo 3 lol) to be incorporated into it as well.
*What I've just said is quite confusing but you get the idea.

Also what I hated the most about Halo 2 was that most of the interesting stuff happened in the cut scenes. Whereas in Halo 1 there were not as many cut scenes that went into so much detail. For example the opening cut scene for Halo 1 was very short and to the point and it was the beginning of a franchise that had never been heard about before. However in halo 2 we have this epic beginning that explained far too much in my opinion and certainly went on for to long. Yes I grant there was a lot to explain, however the way it was done I felt was a little to in your face. Bungie could have split it up into small fragments. e.g.
When you are near Miranda Keyes it could bring up a dialogue that documents the events that proceeded halo 1. This would have given Bungie the chance to explain more in a simple way and also would have made the player feel more involved in the game; rather than have some cut scene play for 8 minutes.
Halo 2 was such a linear game which is kind of a paradox to the halo saga. Halo as a concept is supposed to be a mysterious game with many mysteries and things to find out for yourself. Whereas I didn’t get the same feeling of mystery in halo 2 as I did in halo.
You might argue that that’s because it was a new game so naturally you as a player are more wrapped in the mysteries of halo, however as an underlying principle of halo this feeling of mystery should have been maintained, to again involve the player.

i recently [;ayed black hawk down on xbox and if the urban level(s) on halo 3 are half as good i think i could die happy this young but i want more than 1 actual urban level (the level on the bridge with the tank is spent almost entirely in vehicles and doesnt count) but im worried that most of the levels are gonna be underground or somehting trying to find the "ark" which might i add is weird because i saw this thing on history channel saying that the ark of the covenant (that 1 indiana jones moview was about it) was actually in africa and and i was all like WO WTF ark, covenant, in africa? (the beginning of halo 2 was in new mombasa in africa) so i was like hmm mis that why the covenant landed their in halo 2 so is that where the forerunner ship with the masterchief going back to?

Its because halo 1 and 2 were both great games, and we are all impatiently awaiting the arrival of halo 3. Its like watching a series on TV, seeing an episode, and talking about what will happen next week.

    Thanks Jr24.
I think people are also more interested and puzzled by the fact that Bungie repeatedly denys the fact that they are making Halo 3. You want to believe them however it’s hard to. Bungie have a reputation for not only being secretive, but also lying.
For example, in September 2003 Bungie Studio Manager Pete Parsons was asked, "What about the rumour that there will be another playable character [in Halo 2]?" He answered, "Untrue, it's Master Chief all the way." However, Halo 2 does in fact feature two separate playable characters, Master Chief and the Arbiter.
This now makes fans of Halo question *everything* that Bungie say in the weekly updates or forums. They are (like us) constantly looking for a way to discredit what they initially said.
I suppose this is just Bungie's way; the bottom line, don’t believe a thing they say.

Well, I understand the many followers of the storyline with Halo. But for me, I enjoy the multiplayer best. In fact, I wish they would come out with other types of games using the Halo controls. All sorts of games could be made: crime/police games, fighting games, racing games, even the story-based games like Zelda and so on.

I think that the ease of the controls is one of the biggest plusses of Halo. You just have so much control and you can do so much.

I don't make games, but my understanding is that it is easy to change the pictures and backgrounds (in other words, the levels or boards), just hard to change the game controls. Maybe they should license the Halo style games out to other companies so many different types of games could be made--like medieval knights or crusades, or westerns (not exactly for me!), or modern day military, or so on.

    Thanks andy2000.
Not sure exactly what you mean. Do you mean that the Halo Xbox Controller was set so that in multiplayer it gave the player more flexibility in terms of what they did and how they did it?
If so I think that’s a good point. However there will always be better configurations for things like this, even the Halo 2 config could be made better. I don’t think that Bungie should rely on past experiences with details such as this, but should instead come up with some original and revolutionary way of playing multiplayer. Easier said than done, unfortunately.

the controller is hard to use for multiplayer because when doing certain actions make you use buttons all over the controller which makes it hard to turn, walk, jump, and shoot at the same time. if the buttons were closer to the analog and not so far off in the corner i think it would improve a lot.

Yeah i totally agree with you. When you are in the heat of the battle, its sometimes difficult to do more than two things at a time. I suppose its the controllers fault really. Hopefully X360's will be better :).

True, i had two good cotrollers, one was a normal one and one was a "halo" controller. They were both easy to use with halo. I lost the little extension thing for one and the other one broke. I still have one more control I got with a steering wheel but its terrible. I go to press Y and I hit the white, The joystick is so far away i need to stretch my hand and the buttons are sunk in so far you need a stick to press black

ive seen some smaller controllers that might work.one by madcats and one by logitect might make it easier than using a standard xbox controller only problem is madcats are not very reliable and i found the logitect hard to use.im using power wave controls at the moment they work fine on halo 1 and 2.hopefully they will make controls for xbox 360 and halo3
