i hope the mc dies at the end of halo 3. like the final mission is a suicide run to do something and in order to do so, the mc must have his life taken for the greater good, and to eliminate the evils that have plagued the universe.

 

I wouldnt like that at all. I doubt Bungie would do that either. It would wreck the future for the Halo universe.

 

there is no future. its over incase you havnt payed attention to some of bungies reports. they
said they go into detail of the past and stuff, but they said halo 3 is the last in progression. it
would be inspirational for him to do that. then the last scene is the world 10 years later,
celebration marking the aniversary and showing how well off everything is in turn of the
sacrifice. but then again i guys fanboys wouldnt like it cuz alot of them are in love with the
mc

 

Actually I did know that this is the last "Halo" because it is a trilogy. Pretty obvious.
Marathon is part of the Halo universe. But it was before Halo with the MC. Gamers probably wont feel the same about the Halo universe without the MC. It will feel somewhat empty.
You have to be careful with Bungie's wording.
They say

Notice how they didnt say "Yes this is the final Halo.
P.S You are forgetting that the MC "makes" the Halo games.

 

i know. im saying its the end of the trilogy and everyhting will be decided. he can die off and bungie can still go the the past and stuff on the mc's begings and missions with other spartans or something.

 

As much as I dont want him to die, I dont think there's any other way. What would an augmented supersoldier do with himself. War is his life and he would literaly go insane with the monotony of everyday life coparing to what he's used to.

 

i would like to see a "guided rocket launcher" like the one in the origianal perfect dark, that was fun. where you could guide the rocket by camera, or like the one in halflife 2 where you point and thats where it goes. but then again, that would make it even more of a noob weapon haha. i think its safe to say everyone wants the zoom back on the pistol tho. ooh and something like the rcp90 from goldeneye, or an added proxy/remote grenade would be nice.

 

and i think we can expect cortana dieing, shes in perty bad shape. as for the master chief, i could see it hapening i guess...

 

Yeah, I was expecting that too. Maybe cortana and Cheif will be reunited and go down together..

 

maybe. i think that would be interesting. that one guy does have a good point, the mc would go insane and become like a serial murderer because war and killing is all hes known since childhood.

and about the rocket, something like the redeemer in any unreal tounament game would be fun. halo needs "superweapons" that appear every 2-3 mins only in an awesome spot, and have only like 1 round in it.

hi, i havent being looking at this thead for ages because i couldnt be bothered to real the tons upon thousands of information on it so could someone briefly tell me whats being happening? -please

 

Alright so i was reading back on page 66 about kelly and Dr. H. I think it would be cool if the both of them worked together and that would be the co-op. When you would do it Kelly and Mc would each have their own objectives in the lvl. like they would battle their way through it and she would have her things to do and mc would have his things to do. Also i wonder if kelly has the up to date armor that mc has. It would also be cool if details in the book played into the game, like that kelly can in fact run faster than mc. mc is stronger than kelly. With these facts only master cheif could do things and only kelly could do things.

There is a theory that the person you see as Cortana in the trailer is actually Dr Halsey. Of course we wont know until we see Halo 3.
