lol, ya thats tru it take about 4 months to save up real good!. oh and i just wana know if any of you guys read the bungie weekly update? cause frankie posts some really good info bout halo3.

 

I shouldn't say this because it will give eveyone the idea but I'm going to buy a PS3 at launch then sell it on ebay for like a grand and make 400 to 500 dollars.

 

What the heck does that have to do with Halo 3 emachine?

And yeh, i read the update every week. You never know hen they might give some solid info. It seems the AI for it is coming along well. Haha Frankie said he got ambushed by grunts lol!

Oh and no, Halo 3 is only for xbox 360, Bungie has even stated that many times. There is no way you could get Halo 3 to run on the original xbox.

 

Halo 3 on the 360 is common sense. Anyone who thinks it will be available for the Original Xbox needs their head checked.

 

Wow..It has been a while since my last post on these forums....and its great to be back

I just downloaded the Halo 3 E3 Trailer...and it gave me goose bumps the first time I saw it. Just the shock at seeing/hearing Cortana and her voice almost corrupted with grave minds voice and her speaking of the past and future just chilled me to the core...in a good fan of the Halo triology sort of way

I know I may be a little late with this but I just wana toss in what I think will happen from the trailer.

The ships that are flying over the MC in this trailer could be the Elite controlled ships and are trying to stop w/e the forerunner structure is.*This assuming that the Elite semi/alliance still holds through from H2*

That structure you see rising from the African desert I think is a Fireing mechanism. You can see the vortex in the sky right above the structure so I believe the Ark is above that position in space. When the structure fires, I think that the beam or w/e shoots out of the ground structure will go to the Ark that is above the structure in space and the Ark will amplify the signal *if thats how you want to put it* and will send it to each of the remaining Halo's. If the Halo's do activate that will be a sight to see I believe.

When Cortana speaks that she knows of the future and the past *I really dont want to get into the whole time travel thing again but here we go * I believe that MC actually does activate the Halo fireing Systems and 343 Guilty spark is with him on the Ark. MC prolly says something like "Would you do this, destroy all sentient life in the galaxy...just to stop the battle that is insuing out there?" And 343 spark doesnt know how to answer hence the whole Halo 1 thing where he says "when you asked me the first time if I would do it in youre position would I..I have had considerable ammount of time and the answer is yes" After MC activate the rings I think that Cortana may jump into the picture somewhere and keep the master Chief alive somehow. In this process MC body becomes mutated from the excess radiation from the weapons fireing and he evolves into the first flood Gravemind. Then he is sent back in time as a byproduct of the Forerunner technology.....(as I said I hate the time travel idea)

I wonder where all of the marines are because you dont see them in the trailer. Either somone gave the order to evacuate Earth, they are occupied in the space battle, or they are all dead,which is unlikley. If I were the Fleet Admiral of the UNSC I would see to it that all of the remaining MAC stations repositioned to fire on the African desert or where ever the hell that structure is. If they evacuated Earth than maybe they travled to a Planet that only the top military personnel knew of. Or somewhere in the data that Cortana got from the first Halo she found a plannet that was safe from the Flood and the halo's destruction, and ONI had her memory of that data locked away from her to access it.

Anywho this trailer is inspiring me to run out right now and buy an Xbox 360! And the fact of Star Trek Legacy

I read on the Bungie forum somewhere that the ships flying around are an excavation team of the Covies. I am guessing that the hole we see is the former location of newmombisa from H2. I guess that the Prophet of Regrets ship made a huge hole in the earths surface when he jumped into slipspace. Or...in the opening of H3 Truth could exit slipspace in Earths atmosphere above the forerunner facility we see in the trailer and that created the hole, because this trailer allegedly takes place right after the events of H2 and I dont think the covenant useing conventional methods could burrow into the ground that fast.

 

Its obviouse that structure is the ark oh and dark reaper i have been on this for a few months now and i am still a junior

Maybe the Forerunner ship from H2 will somehow act as either and amplifier for the Ark to activate all the Halos at the same time, or it could be a huge index of some sort.

On a side note....anyone want to see a hunter flood form in Halo 3?

 

If you are talking about the Juggernaut flood, it isnt confirmed that it is a hunter, some people say it could even be a grunt. Also it was in Halo 2 not Halo 3.

 

Dont think that could happen. Hunters are a collection of intelliengent "worms" in an armour suit. They would probably just fall apert or not even be able to be taken ove. Perhaps a Brute flood form is more likely.

 

Yes that is correct, assuming that the conversation that GS has is correct, it therefore cant be a hunter.

 

No I was just asking if anyone wanted to see and battle a hunter flood form.

The flood probably wouldnt be able to take the Hunter over for two reasons like Andy2000 said they are a collective of worms and would prolly fall apart, and my thinking is with all of the Fuel Rod shots they fire there has to be some excess radiation in the Hunters body, and once the hunter is infected the flood virus cannot mutate and dies off in the body.

I was thinking the other day that I would like to fly one of the UNSC ships into battle or take over a MAC station and defend a planet. I dont want to be able to do this in H3 because thats not what Halo is about, but I do think it could be a cool PC or 360 game to play when H3 is done and beaten.

Yeah, flying a pelican or using a MAC station wouldnt really be Halo. I havent played one game yet where using a stationary gun, in full screen, with just a receticle has been any good. Thats one of the things i hated about "Gun". The graphics/animations used when your using the cannon are just stupid.

hmmm...I really dont like the idea of master chief turning into the gravemind in the future, it just seems proposterous. But I just thought of something. When I read the Halo books I did happen to reallize a group known as ONI. and if I remmember correctly this group somewhat works in total secretsy. Some officer in the books have even mentioned them as "the spooks at ONI". In one part of the books ONI actually sent a secret stealth ship that appeard to be recording a battle between the humans and covenant.

Time travel once again: what if ONI since the identities of the people who work there are so secret that they were actually known by a different indentity. What if they worked under the code name "forrunner". There was one point in the books that master chief went into a pitch dark room with people sitting all around him, and even with his enhanced vision he could not make out their identities. What if ONI working under forruner actually are the ones who created the Halos with time travel capabilities to change the events of the war.

The so called spooks at ONI could have also kept this secret from the rest of humanity. Also since it seems as though 343 guilty spark knows the master chief saying things such as "why would you hesitate to do what youve already done reclaimer" its made obious that the last one to activate the halos was indeed a spartan or someone who resembles a spartan.

dont you guys find more interesting that in another part of the books one of the covenant actually mention that the master chiefs armor is more advanced than their own which was created from forrunner tecnology. whats more interesting is arent ONI the ones who created the MJOLNIR armor? hmm...looks like this theory is becoming more interesting. *pats himself on the back*

I think I do recall the part where the Covies said that about the Armor. Maybe ONI got hold of one of the few artifacts in the books and discovered a secret Forerunner cache hidden on a planet that the Covenant had no idea of.

I had an idea that Humans actually did build the Halo system farther into the future than the current Halo games. I think the Human race became so hell bent on destroying the Covenant threat that they created the Flood virus not knowing that it would mutate, take over the host, and design ways to deploy more Flood infection forms. They may have designed the virus to just kill on contact..who knows

Now I dont know of anywhere on the web that actually speeks of how the Halos fire, so do you think they somehow form micro wormholes, or even a huge worm hole after they fire and in effect send them back in time?

I wonder what the moniters or whatever cleaned up after the Halo fireing system put the Forerunner starships. Do you think that the Covies got hold of them and stripped them down for technology? I think they did. The whole Covenant race without Forerunner technology would prolly die. They havent evolved like man to actually create their own technology, its all just an adaptation to Forerunner tech.

 

does anyone know who the forerunners are. u think they will tell us in halo 3. it think it would be cool to make a game telling us bout the forerunners mayby sending mastercheif back in time or something.
