I was hoping to start a new movie thread as the other one seems to have gotten off topic and fallen pages back. I hope to set some rules for this one. Talk about movies only, likes or dislikes everyone has their own opinion. If we dont know what movie your talking about, lol, give an imdb link http://imdb.com No porn please classics, Old movies, new movies, all good. Ok ill start it off... Recently saw Inside Man in theaters, and really enjoyed it. Good acting, crisp plot, nice camera work and good ending. Curious what other people thought about it
I watched The abominable Dr. Phibes again yesterday, classic Vincent Price flick. Take one mad Concert musician looking for revenge on behalf of his departed wife, add nine bumbling doctors, some old testament atrocities, then stirr untill done, and lo and behold, one instant classic http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066740/
Ive just watched lucky number slevin thought it was a really good film with good twists and turns http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0425210/ i did enjoy inside man as well
I recently wathched "Get rich or die trying" at the movies and i loved it.I'm not a huge fan of rap but the movie really shows what it's like to live in the ghetto and to grow up over there and also shows the violence that there is in ghettos. the movie is the story of 50 cent.
Yeh thats a decent film theoipod, I'm probally gonna see scary movie 4 next week, everyone says it's sh*t though.. :S
oh yeah? i heard it was funny...better than the 3rd (blowed sooo hard) and not as good as 2nd(not as good as 1st imo). =pepsimaxx=
I know this is an old movie but notting hill is excellent. It's the story of a man who works in a library(hugh grant)and one day his whole life is changed when the movie star anna scott(julia roberts)walks into his shop. A great love story.
Notting Hill is definitely good. Very funny in some parts. I enjoy most movies with British actors, I find them humorous. Recently saw (and been addicted to ever since) Pride and Predjudice, classic love story; I do not recommend for the guys though, they'll find it boring.
just watched v for vendetta it was a very enjoyable and thought provoking movie good cast and decent plot.
Memoirs of a Geisha is sad, but it is very good. I didn't know anything about geisha, but now I feel lucky that I can love freely.
Someone said they like British actors and I agree. It seems that the ability to act is their greatest concern...looking handsome or beautiful is a nice second. Now (as opposed to the "golden age", american actors and actresses look beautiful or handsome but are dumber than dirt and can't act to save their lives.
Brit made movies tend to just get on with it, without all the bull. Layer Cake, Lock Stock, Snatch, Trainspotters are all films that just have to be seen, dark humour is a trait we are famous for. Complete with no underlying love story, smart arsed 7yr old child or moody teenager to contend with. I love the fact that Brits make excellent baddies in American films.
I just watched when a stranger calls. That movie sucks, if it wasn't for the girl, i wouldn't even watch it.
