I checked it out too, mostly just some clips of next gen games and very little on the hardware.

In my opinion, it will once again come down to what games are available for what system that will determine which to buy. Myself, I like platformers, which I find the Xbox is seriously lacking compared to the PS2 and Game Cube, and haven't seen anything to show me that Xbox 360 will be any different. The other genre I like is RPGs, which again I find the Xbox lacking compared to the competition, and the few that I am interested in are available or will be soon for the PC. I would much rather play Morrowind, KOTOR, or Arx Fatalis on a PC, and they have already said the PC version of Fable will have much more content than the Xbox version. Unless some decent titles in those genres come out on the Xbox 360, of which the MTV special did not show a single title, I figure I will go with the PS3 and/or Nintendo Revolution when I get a next gen system.

In my opinon xbox 360 will not be PS3 competion. We know PS3 will have the better library.
Xbox 360 on competes agianst it self (pc).
Why spend that money on an Xbox 360 when every one have pc and can play shooters on the pc.
Me personal will buy the PS3 wich we all know is the better consule.

No, we don't. Right now XBOX360 has the better catalogue, since PS3 haven't even started showing trailers of their exclusive games.

Look at Condemned and Full Auto trailers (link in my Ahoy Gamers! thread)

Xbox 360 only has three 32-bit cores at 3.2Ghz. The cell processor coming on the workstations from IBM is said (by sony) to use the same processor. This processor is a four core 9 cell cpu operating at ">4Ghz", the ninth cell is 64-bit, sweet, but a single 64-bit compatible cell may have no place on the PS3. Apparenly the computing ability of the PS3 is going to stomp the xbox 360 foolishly already released specs. Sony has the opertunity to go back(to a certain extent) and optimize it's sytem to perform better for a similar price range. nvidia is doing the graphics and so far no specs, all bets are two GPU if not three. PS3 will own the new xbox performance wise. Xbox sounds like it's going to rape customers again with the annual or monthly online fee bullshit. Socom 2, free and the greatest... i hope sony keeps it that way

Ya paying for x-box live sucks. i mean imagine how much money we already spend. Internet, tv, cell phone, etc.. etc.. Sony is kind enough to provide free online multi play. In my opinio that is a huge +
    BOYCOTT X-box. Im a hater :)!

the new xbox live is going to have both free and pay service, called silver and gold. and the gold service will be free on the weekends. so this is going to make live that much better. anyways, compared to the xbox, hardly anypeople play games online with ps2.

its going to happen just like it did before...

Xbox is going to pull ahead with speed and graphics.
but lack with a library of games...microsoft says there going to have a lot more ready to release games for the debut, but who cares if you have 14 like with xbox (original) or you have 40, if they are sucky games, then it does them no good.

Sony will be just under the xbox in speed and in graphics.
but with the huge library of games we all now sony has in there pocket.

now the xbox has loads of cool stuff there putting in the 360, like 4 wireless controllers which can turn the xbox on and off. cd burner, multimedia player, swapable harddrives.
BUT HONESTLY. whats the point in having this incrediable console if you cant enjoy it cuz the only good games you can play are halo, and a few others.

sony wins again. it always has been, always will be, about the games!

P.S. - the "revolution" will trial far behind sony and microsoft like a lost kid!!!

WiteWizard, have you even seen the trailers of XBOX360 games yet? All this ****talk about "XBOX360 has t3h uber crap gameszzz lol", you guys ain't even seen the trailers that have been available on the net since Day 1.

PS3 hasn't even shown any in-game trailers yet, unlike the plethora of XBOX360 trailers. And if you're asking "WHAT TRAILERS?!?!?!?!? LOLOLOLOOL?", I spare you my beheading for today. Look at my Ahoy Gamers! thread, or visit www.gametrailers.com

Well, xbox 363 would probbably have better graphics and lots of cool stuff (hd, multimedia) but still sony wins in the game library, but Im still stuck with my old modded gc lol!! do you think that sony by using blu ray 25gb disc would bring an advatange over the 12gb dvd dl disc that the xbox 360 is expected to use?? what about the nintendo revolution?? does anyone had heard it specs...I think nintendo is doing the right thing by waiting a bit more to get a better console, white the xbox and playstation are chaning their consoles to soon, why dont they wait to do a really big change on their consoles, not only upgrading graphics and speed....

whitewizard, PS3's cell processor already has xbox beat, nvidia because of mtv's thing now knows what it's up against and what sony will want. Microsoft was stupid in releasing information so soon, now PS3 can beat it no matter what, why wouldn't they up everything to at least the same xbox has(processor already beat by a landslide)? Lots of people play online with the PS2, socom alone pulls ~15,000-22,000 playing on the north american server at a timee in the afternoons ~30,000 some nights and up to 50,000 on some weekends. Xbox i'll be willing to bet doesn't pull as much as PS2, halo is their only draw, PS2 has all sorts of online RPGs on top of that. Your retarded if you think xbox is more popular online now that the halo 2 release is over and people are coming back to socom. Yes, thank-you, you like sony best at least.

There are at least 100,000 people logged on playing halo2 on xbox live every afternoon. Go check bungie.net for the stats. That is with halo2 alone. You would h ave lost your bet.
