I have a video file that is actually an ogg format file and with VirtualDubMod if i turn it into a .mkv file the video will play with audio and on the status while it is dubbing it shows that there is audio. But if i try to make it into an AVI it shows 0kb as the audio siz and the video plays but there is no sound i tried demuxing the audio and then just combining it and the video stream but it still doesnt work why wont it convert the video and audio to AVI what should i do?
Encode it to another format like AAC or MP3.Use Belight.Or Make sure that you have the proper codecs installed on your system.
Sounds like you actually have an ogm file. VirtualDubMod can't handle ogg files. It also can't mux ogg vorbis to avi, ffmpeg can but it isn't a good idea. What should you do? Leave it, unless you want it as an avi for say use on a standalone, in which case, convert to mp3, although if it has 5.1 vorbis, I would convert to AC3.
I have some ogm vids that I want to downsize and put on a DVD now heres the thing it will sometimes find the audio and copy it over and soemtiems it wont 0-o I know for one thing it hates batch files never got it work with batch but one at a time seems to do 0-o they need to fix that sometiem *L*
Hello, I do want to convert ogm to standalone avi. Can some give exact steps with virtualdubmod? Actually I am able to get the .avi file output WITH Audio. However, audio is lagging albit ahead. I am not sure, how to keep it exactly in sync. Can someone provide any help ?
