First of all, hello. I am new here so if this is not the right board, I offer my apologies in advance as I didn't see one more appropriate.

I downloaded an anime series a couple years back called Rune Soldier and the episodes were in .ogg format. Now I've been looking for a converter where I could convert them from .ogg to either vcd or dvd to play on my TV DVD Player. I haven't been able to find anything that does the job. Can anyone help please?

Chances are that they are actually ogm files. Don't think ogg theora was even usable back then.

Any MPEG encoder should do really. For VCD, try TMPGEnc.

Mate, you are a complete legend. I can't thank you enough for the help. For some reason windows shows the files as OGG but the program shows them as OGM. I converted, burnt and they work. Thanks a lot mate, I greatly appreciate the help. :D

Probably mean remuxing/encoding to avi first, then remuxing to divx. Possible that the video is already compressed using DivX. Probably it is XviD, but you should still be able to remux to divx with chapters, etc.

the file extension is .ogg - it plays well in windows media.
