I have been working on trying to convert some OGM files into DVD format for a standalone DVD player. I have done it in the past with programs like DVD Santa but for some reason it isn't working so well now. For some reason no matter what program I use it says that the audio is not recognizable. I downloaded the ogg vorbis codecs. I have FDD show installed and I have Lame MP3 here too. It works fine if I just play the file on my computer. It just doesn't work when I try to transfer it to a DVD friendly format. I even used VirtualDUB and the error I get from that says "No audio decompressor could be found to decompress the source audio format". I figure I do have one though if it plays fine on the computer in its original format and I know I downloaded the vorbis codecs. Well, if anybody has any good advice...I'm looking for it. Thanks Chris
VirtualDub can't load ogm's at all. Perhaps you mean VirtualDubMod? Anyway, ogm doesn't have to use vorbis audio, it can use AC3, DTS, aac, mp3, etc. Also some programs (like VDub) make use of ACM for decoding. Players tend to use directshow.
I think I have the decoders for all of them except DTS and AAC. I will try downloading those and see if they change my situation any. Thanks.
