ogm file

    how can you change the file ext so that it plays in window media player? i thought that all i have to do it change the ext name but i am not that sure though.

    You don't need to change it at all. You just need to have an ogm splitter installed and codecs for whatever streams are in the ogm (say XviD and vorbis).

    I really wouldn't recommend renaming ogm's to .avi, etc.

    awsome i just d/l a player called videolan to play the ogm file. now my problem is now that the file doesn't have any subs. i d/l vobsub but i am unsure how to use it or if i d/l the right program. any thoughts?

    VLC has internal subtitle support and doesn't use external dshow filters, so dvobsub would have no effect.

    VLC has sub streams disabled by default. You can activate them, by selecting a stream under subtitles.
