Hi, a way to do this is to change the file extension to .avi, then to decompress the audio:

open the renamed avi file in VirtualDub, Video>Direct Stream Copy, Audio>Full Processing Mode, Audio>Compression...>No Compression (PCM).

Then you can encode the .avi file to MPEG-2 format.

    Hi,

Afraid I wasn't entirely sure that would work, I just assumed that VirtualDub would do the job of decompressing it ok. I personally used the decompress.exe found with a program called avi2vcd. Follow the prior instructions, change the file extension from .ogm to .avi, run decompress.exe, load the source file and the decompressed file will be watchable and will run through the encoding stages fine.
I carried this out myself on about 15 .ogm files without any problems so it should work for you.

You can get avi2vcd here: http://www.mnsi.net/~jschlic1/

Right, Go My Computer>Tools>Folder Options. Hit the View tab and Under Advanced Settings ensure that 'Hide Extensions for known file types' is unticked.

If it wasn't, rename the .ogm file to .avi and try running it through decompress.exe again.

Ok, I don't know what will work now but you could try following this guide m8 :)

    http://www.artificialintell.com/Fre...eo/OGM to SVCD/ogm to svcd-vcd conversion.htm

If this fails to work also, see if you can try running the ogm file through VirtualDub (Mod) as this may work.

If both of these methods failed to work you may have a fake file there, so ensure you have the needed codecs and try to play the file so download the filters from here http://tobias.everwicked.com/ and you will need DivX5 and XviD codecs installed, then try to open in WMP.
