Right i have an R4 (ndsl/nds) i have had it for a while now, been working fine with almost everygame i download. Untill yesterday, i decided to get some new games downloaded and out of about 20 only 5 or 6 of them will work ? Does anyone know why this is....they show up on the menu screen but when you press onto them theres either no file to load or if there is a load file then the two screens go white, then nothing. Is there a firmware i need to update... i have v 1.18 on mine at the mo. Be gratefull for a reply Thanks

Buy a new flaschart (preferably one that doesn't have R4 in the name).

The Original R4 Revolution Is EOL (End of Life) and EOS (Eon of Support), no new firmware is being developed for it and thus it will never play some of the newer games.

I currently have the EZ Flash Vi out for evaluation on DSi and I'm running it on DSL right now. I have an Acekard 2i on order.

I am still a loyal CycloDS fanboy and continue to recommend it as the "Cadillac" for the NDS.

Create a folder on card called Games and move all Games and .sav files on card to this folder. install YSmenu onto card and leave R4 software on card as well, using the YSmenu will enable you to play a lot of the newer games being released. to access YSmenu, find it on bottom screen and press A, then select games and pick a game to play. There may still be a thread for YSmenu on this site, if not i,m sorry you,ll have to google it, but it,s not hard to set up and it does work. If you use YSmenu for older Games you may have to start game from the beginning again. If you moved all .sav files as explained earlier, just use R4 menu to enable you to play game from the level you were at. Access R4 menu in usual way. I,m sorry for not explaining it better but its the best i can do.

Thanks everyone for your comments i think im off to buy a new flashcard "Cyclo DS" if i can find one in stock anywhere. I have read lots of reviews and it seems that the "Cyclo DS" is the fav to get. Is it just as easy to put games and stuff on the Cyclo DS as it has been for the R4, thats decided to die on me. Liked just having to copy and paste them into the sd and vola all done ready to go. Is it as easy as that ?????

All flashcarts are "as easy as that".

Rudimentary PC skills are a requirement for owning a flascart.

    Format an SD card
    Copy files
    Download files
    de-archive files

If you can't do that much, you shouldn't own a flashcart.

Please don't take offense. The comment wasn't directly specifically at you.

A quick perusal of this forum will show you that there are plenty of people trying to operate flashcarts that don't have these skill.

Even at that, there's nothing wrong with NOT having the skills, but at some opinion, IMHO, people need to take a little responsiblity.

    "Suppose your a pure genious !!!!!!!!! "

    Some people say so. <G>
