I converted all my avi files to dvd files.
Opened Up dvd shrink encoded my files then burned them with dvd shrink and when I put the dvd into my dvd player it didn't work.

    hi

ok, first get the latest firmware for your drive! find out from the makers website of the player if it will take +R discs? as +R is less comaptible than -R discs for playing

as i think it may be this as from what you say you can RIP / BURN ok

oh and dvd shrink DOENST burn it uses either nero / dvd decrypter / clond dvd i think too, there burn engines!

does it play on the pc drive?

First off your choice of media is questionable, CMC Mag is not considerred quality media, try Verbatim, Sony, Fuji, or Maxell. If you are using media that is cheap then make sure you burn at 4x, you stated you used Nero did you make sure to tell it to burn at 4x. If you used Nero then go into your Nero and find the history folder it should be in C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero and look for the history folder and cut and paste your log file and post it. This will tell all the information on your burn.

i'm w/ arnie bear the media is scraping the barrel also try -r formatted media as they are more compatable w/ more stand-alones (especially the older ones) imo you should try verbatim data life plus or even maxell -r's cheap but good quality.
