First of all i would like to thank those who helped me a few months back with burning dvds and getting covers ... huge sucsess.. But now ive got another problem, i cant burn games as once burnt i go to install, works perfect but as soon as i go to play it it says error please insert correct cd bla bla bla... Please if any1 can tell me what they use to burn pc games it would be great.. plz bear in mind that im not the richest man in the world therfore i cant afford to buy programs to do this so if there are any sites to get the programs you recommend free that would also be great. games ive tried and faid are command and conquer generals and zero hour, wotr battle for middle earth, stronghold 2, swat 4 and not 1 of them i can get to work... it drives you crazy when you cant even copy a game that you own to save you wearing out ur original... so if any1 can help please please do... thanxz
Use A-Ray Scanner and scan the pc game title to determine the cd protection. Nowadays people need a "2 sheep burner" to make successful backups of Safedisc 2.x& 3.x. Programs like Alcohol 120%, CloneCD, CloneCD& FireBurner and Blindwrite Suite are specifically designed to backup cd protection. A "2 sheep burner" is a burner that writes regular bit patterns correctly. My burner recomendations 1) Plextor Premium (52\32\52x) 2) Lite-ON 52\32\52x 3) Asus 52\32\52x 4) Lite-ON Combo (52\32\52x)(16x dvd-rom)
thanks for awnsering my thread... Is there a way i can burn them with my normal drive i got just normal dvd rom..? also where can i get the other software from i already have cd clone and alchole but they by themselves dont work, i recently got anti blaxx and another that i havent tested... but i was hoping there was just software i could get that would remove the copy protection or something like that. also if any1 knows where i can get the software from for free or a trail can you also tell me... if not is there a procedure to remove the copy protection manually to allow games to be burnt?? Geez i tell you what its not illegal to copy your own games but dam why do they gotta make it so hard...!!!
To answer your questionin short, pc cd protection like Safedisc or SecuROM can't be removed. 1) You must have a burner to make a safety backup or you can use Alcohol 120% virtual stealt drive(or Daemon Tools), read and mount the image and apply recommended emulation. 2) On this thread Alcohol 120& should be highlighted do click the link and you can download trial versions. Other software includes CloneCD and sometimes CloneCD with FireBurner for Safedisc and VSO Blindwrite Suite for backing up SecuROM. A third party tool is used in conjuntion to help make a backup of SecuROM and it's called Blindwrite Tweaker. If you backup pc games on a routine basis, purchase the Plextor Premium (52\32\52x)
thankz but i already have alc and i read and copied how a mini image works ... also i have dvd rom which also burns .... can some 1 tell me how i can burn them sucsessfully please as i can copy the whole data off the disc but am unable to run as it says please insert correct cd... just wondering can i use the discs i got to install as it allows me to do only that then use the thread on how to make a safedisc mini image and make image off the burnt disc and then use that to run it???
In order to make a working backup you need to know what type of protection your dealing with. Ok ive now got alc 120 blidright 5.2(i think its the newest version) daemon tools (also a add on called fast mount) and aray scanner .. now are these used to burn or for running off hard drive as i wanna make backup copies on cd... can you guys please assist me further
ok i got games to work via deamon tools but i wanna back them up onto a disc .. how can i do this... also i cant do securom on deamon toos or back them up either plz help..
