the tv out is normally a yellow conection
and s video which is also used is black with little holes in it basically you need a cable for what ever connection u have to go from laptop to tv the end going to the tv should be yellow as most tv's have this id recommend going into a store that sells this sort of equipment and ask for a video cable or just tell them that u wanna go from laptop to tv and there give ya wot ya need baring in mind that u need to know wot connection u have on ya laptop have a look m8 and post back what u think u have

I think most laptops have a video out for a regular monitor. Just plug a PC monitor into it a it should work. Used monitors can be found for $25. or less.
