OK, so my dvd/rw disappeared after installing the latest Daemon tools...

    Not the virtual drive, the actual dvd/rw is not recognised by my pc at all. It happened after the Daemon tools installation after I had restarted it.
    Anyone got any suggestions as to how to get it back?

    try this shut down your PC physicaly unplug it restart then shut down re attatch then see if win will reinstall it

    Awesome thanks. I tried and it's fixed. Turns out the cables were already loose.
