I just want to know what you guys think are the best blanks besides the riteks. I have gone through 2 50 packs of the riteks without any major problems. But i miss having the lines on the top of the dved to label it. the riteks i use dont have them. I headr TDK was good, and also verbatim.

    thanks,
    kevin

hmmmmnn.Just cos a disc uses a ritek dye means jack.Loads of brands use a G04 dye eg datasafe, traxdata, ridisc, ridata, piodata....the list is endless. There are supposed discs solely made by ritek but the whole scenario appears built on hype.Theres a few brands that mix a b and c grades together after only supplying a grades after thier sales have taken off.Other discs? taiyo yuden are supposed to be the dogs but i havent tried them (cant find a stockist)Verbatim uses a mcc dye and are supposed to good but not with my setup.Ive got several brands on the go at the mo,all but one are ritek dyes both GO5 for the 8x and GO4 for the 4x.All are 'RITEKS' and all burn differantly. So you aint gonna find a great consistancy in brands. But hey, thats just me.Must have spent a fortune in the past six months....done over 800 discs....could be my burners buggered but no one is answering my thread!!!! best of luck

    the pie
