my brother, the xbox gaywad extrordinaire, modded his xbox, then decided to delete the modded .xbe file, leaving the unmodded .xbe dashboard in some other random place. he now gets that error 21 when he has no disk in, and he 'just wants his beloved baby back'. he did not make a backup (he's like.. wait, how old are you? 15. OH YEAH.) for some unknown reason. to let you know, i'm a girl. i have no knowledge of any acronyms for anything, no idea what i'm really doing, and i really just want to play halo 2. help? thank you and have a nice day.
No emails you will get banned. As for the error, does it even boot a disc? If its tell him to boot the same disc he used to mod the xbox and then uninstall it properly, lets hope he made backup of the original ms dash. If he still wants to still mod after that just install it again the same way he did.

ok, here is the deal, I am a total noob when it comes to Xbox, I don't want to mod. My xbox is displaying an error 21 message when I start it up, it wont go to the dash or play any games. I have never modded my box so I dont understand why it is doing this. Can anyone tell me how to fix this without sending it to microsoft and paying 80 bucks for them to tinker with it? please, it would be much appreciated. And remember i am a noob.
Error 21 on an unmodded Xbox? Well, you could either attempt a hot swap or install a mod chip. Using either of those, you can install a hacked dashboard such as Avalaunch or UnleashX and see if it works any better.
