what is going on here?! the ps3 is three years old already!!! you hackers...you should be ashamed...ASHAMED. i will lose all faith in you if you can't find a way to hack this thing by 2010. I mean, the ps3 is only 300 bucks now! if you break one in your attempts to make the world a better place, just get another one! (thanks for taking one for the team, btw)

I've got a soft-modded PS3 right here with me. I even created a video of me modding it (while still keeping the warranty intact! I know!). It's not a very well-known process, obviously, but I don't really want to flaunt my brilliance. I'm a modest hacker.

You should be ashamed of yourself, for talking with such foolishness and disrespect, first you think its easy to "hack" the PS3, then you call the people who modify the consoles "hackers", they arent hackers and would tell you that themselves, they are reverse engineers.

Then you go to say you will buy a PS3 if you can soft mod it, which you probably want for free games.

i have too agree here, everyone else goes out and buys ps3 games i pay €35 to €70 for games so harvardja go buy a ps3 and buy games it will be along time before the ps3 is hacked there is alot too look at before hand

what a stupid post, i hope the PS3 NEVER gets hacked, it would open path for cheaters to create gay ass tools like nitepr (PSP), wich allows queer cheaters to use codes with online games, and cheat.

 

I hope they get to hacking it soon...I want PS2 games in HD (and not on the YLOD-prone 20/60GB models)...and there is more than enough power there to do full software emulation. Sony refuses to do it, so it is up the the hackers.

If anyone does figure some creative way of using PS3 linux to run Xbox360 games, we will never know about it because of all these fake videos. I realy, realy wish it was possible to hack the system this way, because those ***holes as Rockstar Games won't release Stories from Liberty City on any platform other than 360 (I believe their semi-illigal contract with microsoft allows them to release it for Windows...but they are just too lazy).

 

That will happen with anything theres homebrew on. it needs to be cracked so that we can fix things like brd controller boards and impliment homebrew to support what $ony will not. Gehot has been working and trying things others havent.

 

I still don't get how you can say the 60/20gigs are ylod prone. Anyway there's also the exclusive modern warfare 2 map pack which is unfortunately 360 only; that kind of ticked me off.

Honestly, I'm not sure if I'd prefer the system to be hacked or not.

Hacked so it can play backups? No way.
Hacked so it can play homebrew but possibly enable cheaters? hmm

 

See I'd quite like the PS3 to get ?cracked? in an easy and safe way. Not because I'm some sort of pirate but because that way companies wouldn't be such kn**s when it comes to PC releases.
