hi all, I have just managed to copy a Video Cassette to a DVD. The Video Cassette contained a collection of home movies recorded in the 1930's so the quality is CRAP, i wonder, is there a program around, preferably freeware, that can somehow try to improve the quality, perhaps a bit like Paint Shop Pro can improve JPG pictures ???? tim
Virtual dub and tmpeg can do this somewhat. You use noise reducton filters enhance contrast sharpen ect.
cheers mate, thanks for the idea, but i was hoping to keep the DVD movie as it is (VOB files and all that stuff), i didnt really want to convert it to an AVI file (it looks to me as if the program you kindly suggested only works on AVI files) perhaps i cant really do what i was hoping to do !.LOL. tim
