Older Firmware hack for liteon lvw 5006 (UK)

    Good morning all,

    I have a LVW 5006(UK) that I received for Christmas.

    I would like to be able to remove the macrovision from it.
    I have downloaded Mr Wizards Piece of Kit, but as it says in many messages the newest firmware on the liteon site isn't able to be hacked (yet?). This however is the only one available to me.

    So does anybody know where I can get an earlier version of the firmware that can be hacked (I keep hearing of this 0098 version, is this the earlier one in line?).

    I appologise if this is a question that has been asked time and time again.

    Within 2 minutes on that site I have found exactly what I was looking for. And although I haven't actualy downloaded it yet I'm sure it will be perfect.
