i have this problem where my computer boots up and when i logon to my user account, the desktop will look like its loading up, but the icons and taskbar will keep flashing like every 5 seconds. The only way to do anything is to use the task manager. I have scanned my computer while in safe mode and the problem still persists. Can someone tell me what to do?

After removing this. R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {1BB22D38-A411-4B13-A746-C2A4F4EC7344} - (no file) Your log is clean! How's your PC running? Do I see two anti-virus programs? Avast and Norton. Do you use your Yahoo Toolbar?
it runs fine except for the flashing icons and taskbar. I do have avast antivirus but i installed that a few days ago when i decided to uninstall Norton after i seen that it doesn't do anything. and i do use the yahoo toolbar. Do you think its some kind of problem with the icon cache or something?
Try using this cleaning tool for your icon and taskbar issue. Just follow the instructions. Let me know what happens. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/desktop_software/desktop_security/smitfraudfix.cfm
the same thing is happening again. the only way i can keep the taskbar and icons up is to run explorer.exe multiple times using task manager.
Download this removal tool to the desktop. Reboot into Safe mode. Run combofix. Post log. http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=134965 Run SmithFraudfix in safe mode again and post a log from that as well.
