i recently put my computer together the details are in my sig. window does not recognize the on board audio. i have check the bios and it is enabled. i also checked the system devices for a conflict, not on it.
In the device manager is their a "Sound, Audio and game controllers" in the tree... If so, maybe try and reinstall the sound drivers off the motherboard cd, or download the latest ones from Asus's website... Do you have the little speaker in your taskbar next to your time?
yes that is listed but the device is not. im also having problems with the on board lan. not the icon is not there
So have you put the motherboard cd in and installed the drivers for your sound? If not do that or do it again anyways.... Whats wrong with your LAN is it showing in you device manager without any problems....
Go to asus and download the latest drivers for your particualr mobo. Then go into the bios. Usually hold or press delete when you first start the comp. Then go to onboard audio and make sure its enabled. I believe your using the realtek chip in there....so just enable it in the bios. Save and exit. It really sounds like ity isnt enabled in the bios cause windows wont know its there and install the drivers for it unless its enabled. :>
He said he has checked it... But do what ozzy said and double check, also goto asus's web site and download the drivers : )
it is enabled in the bios . i am looking for the drivers now. i got it to register that the net card is there still downloading the audio driver
ok i got the drivers on and it worked yes audio im now postin this from comp thanks for your help on to the many restarts of windows
