I have a store bought machine. It has on board video. My question is, is there any way to get the video out. ie splitter off of the monitor cable?

If I need to put in a card, is there anything I should know about removing the oem drivers?

    Thanks

Onboard video is never as good as adding a video card.
When you add a card, it will automatically bypass the onboard video, so you have nothing to worry about with the oem drivers. Best to leave them in fact, in case you have a problem with the card, you can still use your monitor, after taking card out.

hehe I jsut came across it myself a friend wants to build a rackmount rig to slip into his DJing equipment

very slick mobo they have a 939 version as well the only one I can tell that new egg has that have basic dual out,I gotta say this would be prefect anything and maybe even light gaming anything 3-4 years old it should be able to handle well that might be pushing it,I found a U2 case that has normal slots no bloody riser card to fool with that means you can stick a PCI E card into it,you could build a mean little media center PC around this it has 2 PCI slots and well unless you are gadget happy you only need 1 for a audio card since anything else can run off USB.

Altho 95% of the time you want to skip on board vid unless its for a backup or office work, still thats a nice little mobo for general use.
