Yes:: It doesn't like iso's it works better with .img, but if you get the file format right and set the path it will even read them over a network
really, over a network cool that would save some hard drive space. the thing is i cant figure out how to mount the bin file to a dvd. all programs spit it out and ask for a cd-r. would happen to know how to mount them to a dvd, or have a link i can check out thanks.
cool, i got the smb setup to play games off my pc's hard drive. now does any one know how to put the bin files on a dvd. all the programs i have ask for cd-r any my xbox wont read cd's. anyone know how?thanks.
I did that once with the emu and bins on the same disk using craxtion program to make an iso and ImgBurn to burn it on a dvd.
Should be no need to go to all that trouble.. the xbox should read the dvd as a multi entry data disk. Sounds to me like you are trying to burn the disk completely wrong.. bin/cue will always load as a cd if you attempt to burn as an image with the .cue file.. try just burning the .bin halves as a data disk and see how you get on...then have fun trying to find the D: drive in the emulator.... only about as hard as getting the network shares going
My way works and is beneficial. Craxtion makes the emu folder with the bins inside into one iso/xiso. When you burn it onto the dvd the xbox will launch the emu from the dvd and then you can select the bin file. The D drive on this emu is actually the default for the file browser when you search for the game. With this method you can back up the dvd with Dvd2xbox and it will install as a working emulator on the xbox hard drive. It also helps to do it this way if for some reason you cant ftp.
well thanks for your help guys. i got it to work i used magiciso and added the bin files and burned it and it was very easy. thanks for the help.
