is it true you can have a "mod" xbox without if really being "modded" wo use the onboard chip instead?
You can flash the onboard TSOP with the Evox bios but you still need to have a modchip installed to be able to do it. It just means that after flashing you can take the modchip out.
so this means that basically you put the mod chip in, flash the bio and the remove the mod chip and you are set to go? Meaning you now play back-ups, copy games to hard drive, play MP3s..etc??? Is this right?
I don't think you can flash the bios with any mod. I think you need an enigmah mod or I think it may be possible with the Matrix. http://www.xbox-scene.com will have all the info on it.
