Hello everybode, I'm new here so i try to explain my problem at best as i can. I have an Samsung DVD home cinema system with a USB connector at the front. I can connect my external Harddisk drive to play movies from this disk. It can play MPEG, VOB, DivX (avi), MP3, JPEG and a lot more. I converted some DVD's to AVI (DivX) and they play well. However, some AVI's doens't play! Can someone explain to me why the one AVI will play and the other not. I did search for differences in the files, like audio and video encoding and some of them are different from file to file and will play, but like i said before, some does not. I find it very strange, or better said unexplainable. When starting a movie the player (Samsung) gives an notification on the tv screen (Samsung widscreen HD-ready tv): "Reading Index" and the movie starts. However with other AVI files (also Divx converted)it doesn;t show the message and another movie somewher on the harddisk will begin to play! Well, beats me! Thanks in advance for your help. Luke
Well, thanks for your help. I did use this program. But i couldn't figure out what was wrong. Then iremembered having a program called virtualdub. I used the program and there where some things wrong. After using the program and saved it as an AVI (full processing) they do play now! Thanks greetz, Luke
