I have a mpg file that is 15s in length. Here is the basic information of the mpg. Input #0, mpeg, from 'C:\tv.mpg': Duration: 00:00:15.2, start: 0.440000, bitrate: 1369 kb/s Stream #0.0[0x1e0]: Video: mpeg1video, yuv420p, 352x288 [PAR 1:1 DAR 11:9],1150 kb/s, 25.00 tb(r) Stream #0.1[0x1c0]: Audio: mp2, 44100 Hz, stereo, 224 kb/s The mpg is a TV advertisment, however during 5-6s and 12-15s, there are video from a different clip. The video size reported by MediaPlayerClassic changed from 352x288 to 384x288 when it plays to 5-6s / 12-15s. In my understanding, if I encode a clip, the whole clip would be in the same video size. So, how could this be happening?
Open the file in Virtualdub and drag it to the spot where it changes. Do you see a change in the size in Virtualdub ? This program is useful for problems like this because it ignores any aspect ratio info within the file and just displays the actual pixel resolution.
