    Hi.

I have just ordered a Onkyo TX-SR605, my old amp is a 6.1 and all the speakers are already setup (KEF Q5 fronts, KEF IQ2C centre and 3 HTS2001 Eggs for rears). As the Onkyo is a 7.1 amp, is it possible to wire only 1 rear to make it 6.1 as i don't have the room for a 7.1 setup.
    Cheers Stuart.

    Yes.
Just check the manual to see which input to use (left or right back ).

You do understand that in a 7.1 setup, the speakers that were your rears before, basically become side speakers, and speakers 6 and 7 become the rear speakers?
