I have a lite-on 52x burner and it's only burning at an average of 27x, so says alcohol 120%. Any ideas? The PC is fast enough to burn at that speed: Athlon XP2200,256DDR,80Gb Deskstar I used a TDK 48x CDR Any advice would be appriciated, Cheers Dan
52x is the maximum speed of the writer, but it doesn't write at 52x constantly. Look at the visual graph of Alcohol (after burning) or check your drive with Nero CD Speed.
hey, have u ever tried that new T@2 harware provided by Sony, cd-rw.org? I'm getting a 58x burner for xmas, and its got that feature. I wondered how well it worked, and if its a neat feataure or just a load of crap
I heard that burning at speeds over 48x can be very harsh on CD-R media, and can cause it to become unstable. Pob7, are you burning on the fly or from image?
you will find that the closest thing on the market to actually being 48x is the Plextor, everything else advertises their "burst" speeds which can get as high as 52x etc.. You have to spend the extra $$ on Plextor in order to get the highest quality burner, otherwise be happy that you are burning at an average of 32x or more..
note: by 58x i acctually meant 52x. That was a typo. But yea, cd-rw.org, if u have that tatoo feature, then u must have a yamaha burner? If so, are they nice?
Oh and also cd-rw.org. For the t@2 feature, are u only able to burn in a label on empty space on the CD? Or can the label cover over areas that have already been burned with information on the Cd
