silkman Hi, You need to go back to your post and edit out the serial number. It starts with 5C80. Just go to the pencil and paper symbol by your post, and click on that. It will let you edit your post, just put xxxx over the numbers. Nero is up to 7.0.1.4b and it might help to update. http://www.nero.com/nero7/enu/nero7-demo.php that drive looks like it's firmware needs updating. http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1886 Looks like it is up to 1.05 Real problem here. Most suggest 512MB of memory as a minimum needed for ripping/burning, and you are trying to do it with 233MB, and only had 70MB free for the operation. The best bet would be to get another memory stick or two, but if you cant do that, then try closing down as many programs as you can when burning. Device not available?? I wonder what was using it? Maybe this is just an older version of nero problem, and the update may fix it. Give those suggestions a try and post back if still having problems.
thanks for the help but still not working. If I go back to Nero 6 will it get better. Also tried registry mechanic.
Some ppl can't get a good burn with Nero 7, but going back to vers 6 gives them success. Just by going back to 6 and changing nothing else. Just be sure to write down your serial number from the versions, then use the nero clean tool to remove nero from your system completely. http://www.nero.com/nero6/enu/Clean_Tools.html and here is the latest version 6 http://www.nero.com/nero6/enu/nero-up.php You will need package 1 & 2, but not #3. post a burn log from vers 6 if it fails, and someone will wade thru it.
