    I got a Hitachi Drive 47DJ..Its been flashed..I fixed the 3 Red light problem using X-clamp replacement method..and now the drive gives "open tray" and "To play this disk, Put it in an Xbox 360 console" for original and backup games..I restored the orig firmware and checked it..prob was still there..then flashed it with Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_3_Stealth Revision 2..Problem was still there..

    Then I used Rubber band trick...No progress

    Then i put small piece of aluminium to adjust the movement of laser..No progress.

    Ahhh...iam scratching my head..

    I found a different FW called "iXtreme1.2_rev2_Hitachi_Sense_Fixfw"

    here the word "sense" relates to sensor sumhow..I downloaded it from Xbins..May be i shud try this..lets see what happens..

    B4 that..something important i would tell u ..

    Disks which have been written completly run on my X360..but those which are empty on the outer edges dont run(open tray or To play this disk, Put it in an Xbox 360 console )..
    This brings the idea of re-applying rubber band trick with a different width size..

    (what u guys think i shud do wid my dvd drive,.,.Is it Hitachi 0047DJ that causes this problem other than any hitachi)

    Use the newest firmware (ixtreme 1.2 rev2) and burn your games after checking them with XDVD Mulleter for stealth. Use IMGBurn and burn at 4x.
    4x works better with Hitachi drives.

    If it still doesn't work, sounds like you need a new laser.

    And only use VERBATIM DVD+R DL discs.

    Today i installed "iXtreme1.2_rev2_Hitachi_Sense_Fixfw"..but it still does not play my Orig XBOX360 and backups ..which it use to play before....I did pot tweak as well..Then i changed the laser..but still no progress..
    I thought new laser will eliminate the problem but no progress..only game it plays is "HALO" for Xbox...

    Last thing that comes in my mind is..Change the whole drive..

    after replacing Laser with samsung drive(working)..I found out that this laser is working perfect and plays all games on it which it does not play on hitachi drive(47DJ)..

    and when i put samsung drive's laser(working) in my hitachi 47DJ it did not read any xbox360 game again..

    I mean if there is some specific firmware for 47 drive..then plz let me know..i already tried couple of firmwares , even i restored the original one
    and then installed "C4EVA_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_4_Stealth"..but still it did not read any Xbox360 game..(i am not using toolbox for flashing hitachi 47..iam using restore and flash** commands)

    what the hell is wrong with the drive..i wana learn to fix this problem as it is commonly found..
