Feel very stupid and don't know how I fell for this but to get the password for a zipfile I opened this .exe and it installed something before giving the password. Its been giving random popups now and then, and even effects some webpage ads so sometimes I can't use google cause I think its interfering with google's ads so it just gets stuck without loading. Just installed nod32 and it detected this one as mkboot or something but can't seem to delete it. what should i do?
Have you tried a scan in safe mode. Also check out the 15 day trial period of counterspy. Very good interface with lots of great system tools included. If you run XP make sure you have IE7 and SP3. Another great free utility is CCleaner.
