I was wondering since I plan on buying a new burner Im looking around 4 opinions and reviews and stuff... Are there any tests made which burner should be able to defeat future versions of weak sectors/protections or likely to have no problem with it ? I want to get a burner which is compatible as long as possible if ya know what I mean... Whats yer opinion or suggestion, folks ?

hi i have a liteon 52/24/52 at £39.99 excellant burner and value! retail boxed to boot with media also! it burns anything i throw at it! be careful of plextor premium drives! heard they struggle on game protections! Thx... EDIT UK MEWZ - where are those burners for sale????
no not yet but the site says that the pioneer 105 burners are out of stock due to alot of purchases not good sign but i doubt anything to worry bout
It seems that Asus 52/24/52 and LiteOn 52/24/52 are about the same class... It only differs which person ya ask,it seems... Ive never tried Asus but have LiteOn so that one I know about but not Asus.
Yes apparently for data and stuff they are about the same however the Litey has better audio capabilities. ;P I have the ASUS and it works well.
