Optical Audio To Mini-Jack Audio Input

    DAMN!!! So theres no way of getting optical digital sound to my TV?

    No, but there is no reason too. Your tv isn't a surround sound system. Even if you could connect a digital audio connecion there would be no gain in proformance. What you need to do is run the digital audio to a 5.1 or better receiver with Optical or Coax.

    if i was to have a hdmi input would the sound be alot better than the rca cables?

    Mostly no. It would still be only stereo. I don't think that your experience would be enhanced at all. The best thing to do is to by a surround system of some sort if you wish to have a more theater like experience.
