Heres my TV http://www.dealtime.co.uk/xPF-Philips_32_High_Definition_Ready_LCD_TV It says i have an Audio (Mini Jack) x 1 i was wondering would this adapter work to connect the digital optical out from my Ps2 to my TV heres the adapter http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...771482/ref=sr_1_7/103-0154022-1403054?ie=UTF8 And if it works will it be bringing full digital audio? Thanks
Absolutly not! Your looking at an optical cable. Your tv has a 1/8 mini jack, not a mini optical jack. The mini jack isn't digital. It is the equivalent of standard L/R (White Red) audio jacks. What you need is a "stereo to stereo mini-jack" cable/adaptor... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0..._18/104-5878265-9104711?ie=UTF8&s=electronics Not necessarily that one. Ced
No, but there is no reason too. Your tv isn't a surround sound system. Even if you could connect a digital audio connecion there would be no gain in proformance. What you need to do is run the digital audio to a 5.1 or better receiver with Optical or Coax. Ced
Mostly no. It would still be only stereo. I don't think that your experience would be enhanced at all. The best thing to do is to by a surround system of some sort if you wish to have a more theater like experience. Ced
