I ripped a DVD with DVD Shrink 3.2 into an ISO file. When I tried to burn the ISO file with Imgburn, I got a warning: Optimal L1 Data Zone start LBA:none found (none found:vTS_01) Is this an OK iso file? I wouldnt expect there to be a VTS_01 as part of an ISO file. Any suggestions? Its a Dual Layer that I am burning to.
Hello. One of the default settings in ImgBurn is to compute the optimal layer break if no mds file is available that contains the later break info. Apparently, ImgBurn could not do do in this case for whatever reason. Removing the layer break is the default setting in DVD Shrink. Is there a reason you used Shrink to rip? DVD Decrypter preserves the original layer break info in the mds file it creates. If you're just backing up a DVD you own onto a DL disk, just use DVD Decrypter, especially if you have AnyDVD running in the background. In ISO Read mode rip the DVD to your HDD. In ISO Write mode, select the mds file for the ripped file and burn. You can use the Build mode in ImgBurn to select a layer break. I think in that case a folder of video files may be required as input, but I'm not sure.
From your message, it looks like DVD Decrypter is the best software to use, but I am having trouble finding it. I have DFAB Decrypter, but when I click on the DVD Decrypter link, it takes me to a company selling AnyDVD... I don't see the product listed.
Thanks. All is working now. I have burned a DL dvd using the MDS file. Too bad I had to burn 5 DL coasters in the attempt. Thanks again.
