Hello All, I just picked up a DD1603 drive and see that there is a new firmware version for it posted on the Optorite web site. My question is, do I NEED to update the firmware of the new drive? Thanks Much!! Scd
You dont have to if you are satisfied with the operation of your drive -- Firmware are often updated to accomodate newer media , sometimes to improve writing speed , and to correct after market probs reported by the clients.
