    sorry tokijin...another question...when i'm burning i'm supposed to selected the .mdf file right?...well i only have an .iso file. do i just select that one to burn?

    If there's no mdf file, select the iso.

    I've been using maxell dvd + r for a while now and haven't had any problems at all

    same here and the media is great for other stuff too like movies and data.

    Maxells are top notch media, especially the Hitachi (High Grade) "made in japan", it's on par with the famous YUDEN. I'm a DVD+R "book typing" into DVD-ROM person, I use nothing but genuine Taiyo Yuden, Hitachi Maxell and Verbatim "advanced azo".

    I've never experienced any playback issues, regardless if it's DVD movies or PS2 games backups. So far, it has worked 100% flawlessly.

    Yeah I do love those MIJ Maxell DVD+R's, they're some of my favorite media, below Taiyo Yuden of course. If you're getting Maxell DVD+R's made in Taiwan, you're playing with fire. They could code out as CMC Mag (yuck), the best they'll code out as is Ritek (average). I found where the branded TY's DVD+R's were Alky, they were hiding at my local K-Mart. I got some MIJ Sony DVD+R's that coded out YUDENTxxx. I haven't tried em yet, but I can't wait.
