Orangebox or COD4?

I am looking to purchase one, I can tell by the reviews which is weighing more in most peoples opinions. Which has better replay ? Orange box looks much more casual and COD4 looks more hardcore.


I currently own Resistance, Unreal 3, Warhawk, and NFS Pro Street. Over all I am a RPG junkie but the next gen shooter are great.

COD4 is fantastic.
Too much AREA51 (as i call it) bullsh*t in orangebox.

 

COD4 if you going to be playing online aswell. Orange Box if you will be playing offline mostly.

 

Orangebox on the ps3 is an absoltely horrible port job, go with cod4.

 

I agree. The game developer is a Xbox fanboy that stated shortly before release of Orange Box "PS3 is a waste of anybody's time." Go with COD4. I doubt you will be disappointed.

I have reason to believe Call of Duty 4 is the best game out for PS3 right now!

 

Orange Box is amazing.. Even if the port is crappy. Really fun. Team fortress 2 is a great online game. Half Life 2 is amazing for single player. Portal is a very entertaining game too.

 

The campaign mode for COD4 is a bit short in my opinion, whereas for orange box, you get decent play time (with HL2, episode 1 and 2, portal and team fortress 2). So if you have never played half-life 2, I would recommend it. But if you have played half life 2 before, then get COD4.

If the developers of a game slack off just because of the different console (in this case an EXTREME amount of laziness), why should we the consumers reward their laziness and ignorance by buying their product?

 

Well, actually, valve dosen't really hate the PS3. EA does. EA ported the game and they made a crappy port because they hate the PS3. That's atleast, what i heard. So we could blame EA... i think.

Also, i heard that the port wasn't THAT bad.

 

Either way it still doesn't make a difference (EA or Valve); someone got lazy with the ps3 port (again), and therefore should be getting they sales they DESERVE for such a port. Too bad, having heard alot about half life over the years and never having playing it, I was actually looking forward to getting the orange box till I saw that it was another lazy port =/

And I've heard alot about the port's condition from alot of sites and other sources but not having played the game myself I cant really say anything more than that.

 

Well, i heard it's not THAT bad... but i oughta try it myself.

Still, if you have a PC or 360, you should definately get these versions of the box.

 

COD4 IS REALLY AMAZIN BUT IN MY OPINION IT IS A BIT SHORT AS I JUST GOT IT RECENTLY AND COMPLETED IT IN 2 DAYS, DONT NO BOUT THE OTHA GAME THO
