    Your first step, is to jailbreak first, follow the link, that will take you a site dedicated to people specific to the iphone, it is a great wealth of information and the site, is really up to date, with everything regarding jailbreak/unlocking, and has all the relevant files needed to enable you to successfully jailbreak/unlock.
