The Onid, Original Network ID, appears as an important DVB parameter. Seems that Onid + TSid (transport stream ID) and Service_ID are all is needed to display a channel.
What is exactly the Onid ? is it define for all over the world or just for a network? If it is define for all over the world, is there a table with all Onid ? Where can we get it ? Any information on Onid welcome...

to be honest kelte i haven't got a notion what you are talking about. now if you are writing a research paper on the underlying data packets and transport information within a tv broadcast system i think you are in the wrong forum. otherwise i cannot conceive of any reason you would need to know the information you are requesting

The broadcaster send three DVB information that are used when I install my Set Top Box (Onid + TSid (transport stream ID) and Service_ID). I would like to understand how it works... the ID of the TS + the ID of the service its ok, but look like no one know much about the other one , the Original Network ID ...
