yes i was wondering if there is another way to back up gc games besides the BBA method and action replay max pro(since its been discontinued). Is there another disc like the max drive pro that would do the same thing??

The only way you can back up games is to use a BBA or the ViperGC Extreme's USB adapter.

When you use the BBA, do you have to use PSO also? I'm going to use a Xenogc chip.

I don't even know if you'd be able to do it with PSO at all, to tell you the truth. The only way I know of to back up games with the XenoGC is to use GCOM on a bootable disk and use that to stream it over the network.

Oh, and the reason XenoGC is different from other mod chips is because it directly patches the optical drives firmware whenever the drive is initialized, which causes issues with pretty much all homebrew that would work fine with a qoob or Viper.

Thanks. This gamecube is for my daughter and will only be used to play backups. I already have a BBA. I'm just waiting for the chip.
