im new to dvd recorders and purchased a sanyo 500 . as the vcr's have 030,1hr, 1-1/2hr.,2hr. one touch recording feature, do any of the dvd recorders have it ? my concern is to record my vhs to dvd and leave it unattended. for example if i want to record a movie from a vhs that has more than 1 movie and start record and leave it unattended, will it waste the remainder of the dvdr and maybe pick up the beginning of the second movie that is not wanted and etc...?
Both ILO's (04 & 05) have had the OTR. I also owned a Sanyo 500 and I'll give you a hint on leaving it alone to record. DON'T! It doesn't play well with itself. I fell asleep on several disks and it ran and recorded to the end. NONE of them would finalize. I surmised that if you fill up the disk entirely it doesn't leave room for finalizing. Don't know if thats the case but it sounds good to me.
