Out of sync sound

    I am trying to convert my old VCD's to DivX.

    I have tried a program called "Open Video Joiner" and it seems to work fairly well except that sometimes the dialogue is out of sync with the picture. They give me a choice of 24 different video compressors:
    I presume 1 of the following is what I need for a DivX file???

    DivX 6.4.0 Codec (1 Logical CPU ??
    Divx 6.4.0 YV12 Decoder

    They also offer 19 different sound compressors.

    I dn't know one from the other.

    Can anyone make any suggestions?
