Ok so I didn't really know where to put this, it would get removed if I put it in the HDTV section anyway...

I started with just one monitor (an AOC 22" monitor) with DVI and VGA ports, but then I got my XBOX360 and PS3, so I went out and bought an asus 24" monitor, that was fine, I had the consoles on the 24" and the PC on the 22".

But I decided to move my 360 and PS3 right next to my PC to make it easier for me but I thought 'Hey lets extend the desktop over the two screens' and I had a cheap HDMI to VGA cable lying around and I said 'hey lets do it!'

Unfortunately It didn't work, I am going to tell you my current setup and be careful as it is really complex

    [ASUS 24" MONITOR]
    HDMI - PS3
    DVI - XBOX (VIA HDMI-DVI-D)
VGA - [WHERE THE PC SHOULD GO]
AUDIO IN - [CURRENTLY 360 AND PC (WHEN MONITOR IS ON)] - ALSO PS3 SENDS AUDIO VIA HDMI
AUDIO OUT - MY 5.1 SPEAKERS

    [AOC 22" MONITOR]
DVI - [WHERE PC IS NOW]
    VGA - [BLANK]

Now the major problem is that my PC doesn't actually have any video outs, the only video out is whats on the graphics card, and that is only DVI, HDMI and some other port I've never seen...

By default I use a DVI-DVI on my PC to my 22" AOC, after that I simply tried HDMI-VGA into my ASUS, the PC recognized it, but wouldn't allow me to choose Extend or Duplicate displays. So then I tried using DVI-VGA on my 24" and it works but my 22" wouldn't accept the HDMI-VGA...

So is there a simple solution, and I'm sorry if this is in the wrong area/too in-depth to understand
