Nero Recode 2 encountered an error and cannot continue. Failed to read from the file VTS_04_4.VOB That is there error I get when trying to read this dvd. I get a similar error in DVD Shrink. It happened with the first disc I had so I took it back and exchanged it for a new one thinking it may have been a bad press and it happens with this disc too. Does that mean that all of the disc 1 discs were bad presses. I have the lastest anydvd so I'm not thinking its some kind of protection.
Have you tried using DVD Decrypter? On occasion you will run into Recode/Shrink problems with AnyDVD .. nothing will work 100% of the time
with any episode DVD I use DVDDecrypter first........ if it has problems then I use DVDFab Decrypter .....(recently I have been using AnyDVD to rip to the hard drive) once it's ripped to the hard drive I use DVDRemake to take out unwanted stuff like warning screens and I fix the menus by hiding buttons and taking out extras...... then I export the results to a folder and use DVDRebuilder Pro with CCE to encode to a DVD-5 and to make am ISO file and burn automatically with IMGBurn........ very easy and great quality! just let it do it's thang!!!! So far I haven't come across any episode DVD that I haven't been able to backup!!!
