Let's assume the following inputs are available:

    [bold]Receiver[/bold]
    4 - Optical inputs (a)(b)(c)(d)
    2 - Component inputs (e)

    [bold]DVD player[/bold]
    1 - HDMI (f)
    1 - Optical (a)

    [bold]XBOX[/bold]
    1 - Component (e)
    1 - Optical (b)

    [bold]Cable box[/bold]
    1 - DVI (g - via adapter)
    1 - Optical (c)

    [bold] TV [/bold]
    2 - HDMI (f)(g)
    1 - Optical (d)

The letters following the cables show what's connected to what device. For example an optical cable is connected from DVD player and receiver (a) and an HDMI cable is connected between the TV and DVD player (f).

Does the above work? Or am i messing up somewhere? Thanks.
