Okay I just overclocked my CPU for the first time ever and I have a question because I think I might have messed something up?

Using CPU-Z: Under the section in the lower left "Clocks (Core#0)" there are various choices. Core speed/multiplier/bus speed/rated FSB.

This is the result I am getting:
    bus speed: 333.1 mhz
    rated fsb: 1332.3
core speed: 1998.4 Mhz OR 2997.7 Mhz
    multiplier: x6 OR x9

Is it normal for cpu-z to fluctuate like this or should it stay the same constantly??? What did I do wrong?

I don't know how to paste pictures or i would!

that is a power saving option. you need to disable it in the bios. it is called cia2 i think.

thanks... its working ok now... does it HAVE to be disabled though for overclocking to work? I was running prime95 and during that time cpuz displayed 3.0Ghz constantly... just wondering.
