I have looekd around the forum and found a simula thread but with no info.

    I have the following setup:

    AMD Athlon XP2800+ (Barton)
    AsRock K7S41GX
    512MB PC2700 DDR
    80Gb Seagate 7200RPM

I was wondering if i could safley overclock my processor. My motherboard has "ASRock U-COP & Hybrid Booster - a safe overclocking feature."

I was thinking about possibly overclocking it to a 3000+. As long as its safe to do. I am using the stock cooler that comes in the retail pack.

Can any of you guide me?

    Thanks

Overclcking your processor is not recomended in some cases
(if you process video etc.)This could lead to errors on your hard disk, to harm the processor and arround processor cirquits on motherboard. However, if you are sure
to do this, you should replace the aluminium heatsink with a copper heatsink larger than the original, with faster fan.Ask for silver grease (thermal interface)to apply between heatsink and processor. If yor computer is not equiped with a case fan, buy one.Cooling motherboards is
as necessary as the processor cooling.
